Having closed more than $500MM in real estate transactions in his career, Magliochetti brings to Real Living Helios Realty a level of financial and transactional knowledge possessed by few industry peers.

Magliochetti holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, is a candidate for the coveted Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and will be granted the designations of Certified Property Manager (CPM), and Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) in 2006. He is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, as well as a licensed Illinois Mortgage Broker, and a member of the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers, the Chicago Association of Realtors, and the Institute of Real Estate Management.

In addition to his responsibilities at Helios Realty and Development, Magliochetti is Director of Development for Hawthorn Interests, a national real estate development firm, a Managing Partner of Helios Hospitality, and a founding board member of the Columbus Children’s Reading Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to furthering children’s literacy.

An alumnus of Ohio University, in his free time Magliochetti is a woodworker, a student of piano and the Spanish language, enjoys golfing, and an avid adventure traveler.

Joe Magliochetti is a Principal and co-founder of Helios Realty & Development and Real Living Helios Realty. The Helios family of companies provides complete real estate and mortgage brokerage services for homeowners, businesses, developers and investors, as well as property management solutions and real estate investment expertise.

Magliochetti has completed nearly $100 million in career real estate transactions since entering the real estate industry in 2003. He specializes in the sales and leasing of industrial and mixed-use property, and the development of commercial investment property, with considerable knowledge in redevelopment issues including zoning, entitlements and environmental remediation.

Prior to entering the commercial real estate business, Magliochetti led a successful consulting career advising companies of all sizes in brand management, marketing and public relations. His client list included leading Fortune 500 corporations, as well as start-up ventures and small- to medium-sized businesses.

His successful entrepreneurial track record includes the creation and subsequent sale of a lucrative commercial painting business, and he currently is active in entrepreneurial real estate ventures and thoroughbred racehorse investments.

Magliochetti is a licensed Real Estate Broker and licensed Mortgage Broker in the State of Illinois, and holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation reserved for less than 5 percent of commercial real estate professionals nationwide.

He earned an MBA degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate, and bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Art History at the University of Michigan.

Magliochetti is an avid sportsman and outdoorsman, and has competed in road races, adventure races and triathlons. He and his wife Courtney are the proud parents of one son, Joey, age two.
